(I thought sexist dancers liked to "freak")

Thanks, Caroline, I love your vids too. I also think Sarah Palin has a symbiotic relationship with SATC.

Isn't Sarah Palin the ultimate SATC archetype/reality star meme?("who, me, vice president? why not?")
Palin has it all-- 5 kids, 1 grandkid, high power job, a tanning bed at the office, typically "male" hobbies/lifestyle. Like Carrie Bradshaw, she has a group of alternative ideals that she sticks to-- no matter if the consequences harm her in the short run/are morally indefensible. Also, she keeps her long-term friends around as she grows older, no matter what the consequences-- their changing relationship to THE MOTHERHOOD/GRANDMOTHERHOOD doesn't mean changing allegiances to your friends/grossly unqualified government staffers/manhattan professionals. Carrie Bradshaw was against THE MOTHERHOOD before she was for it; Our favorite hockey mom was just for it before she was really against being against it (isn't teen pregnancy the real 'Bridge to Nowhere?') What's the diff?

Caroline,

You are the sexist dancer on YouTube. I love your spontaneity. It has been one month since your last post. Please post a new vid.
I enjoyed 'The Sex and The City' movie. Hopefully, we will see more TV shows and movies expressing modern women. The current stereotypes including VP candidate Palin are from the 20th century. How about some political views from you?

When they say you suck...it really means they are left breathless by your refusal to spoonfeed them their next thought, which is usually a comparison to how distant your reflection is from the media model du jour. By refusing the natural symbiosis you open a portal to independence beyond interdependence.
Honestly, I did not read your review or see this feature production. The show ended but after money was poured on it, we got a revival of the popular iconettes. I also heard they didn't nail The King's coffin in case he wanted to do a comeback...
Does SexInTheCity really represent a specific cultural silhoette?... or just cast a template for hungry mimics? Does style imprint as it is courted like a quantum observation?
OK look, I will get to the point. I find your perspective interesting. It reveals somethings not visible to most. I have spent a few years trying to do art and find the constant battle to draw and paint to make images that people want to own and hang on their wall for decoration. Why is image so objectified? Will their ever be a subject without symbol or metaphorical echo? Why is drawing and painting so envious of photography? Why are reflections and shadows considered only vessels of realism? Why am I trying to impress you?
You have some mission objectives that shame my shallow motives, but I did (not)(did too!) come here to flagellate, but to praise you and check you and dialogue you.

i agree trey, thanks for your thoughtful words! i sometimes like to make grand assumptions about men but that is not right.
i also forgot to mention, which you pointed out, that i actually really enjoyed the movie. it was fun. obvi--i have my issues with it but the side of me that is manipulated and controlled by pop culture had a great time with this movie. and that is certainly a real and valid part of my being.

What i am trippin on is how well you already know the characters and the plot, obviously hollywood knows how to keep your attention! The review is helpful, although many of your presuppositions are flawed... One example "men think it is stupid" certainly wrong, men act like they think it is stupid (the marriage thing)because they are too inward to express their real feelings about such things. Besides, too much hype at a wedding may overshadow the true meaning of the institution (bridezilla), of course the two families are also joined but at that point even they are secondary. Also, i really do not think real men want women to break the bank trying to be the sexiest creatures on the block, the sexiest woman to me knows how to bait her own hook. Anyways, the review is helpful to understand how hollywood glamorizes the fashion and single carefree lifestyle of these women while at the same time suggesting it is an empty life. Now that is a good microcosm of the whole show so i leave with one other thought. In life, self sacrificing love has greater value than loving self.
peace!
